Employee Spotlight: Jenny Leasure, RN

Our next spotlight is Jenny Leasure, RN from our Cardiology team! Jenny is originally from Augusta, Kansas and came to Hutch from Wichita in May of 2019. Learn more about her!

How long have you been with Hutch Clinic? Almost 2 years

Why did you want to join the Hutch Clinic team? Living in Wichita, I had heard wonderful testimonies about the clinic from coworkers and patients that traveled to Hutchinson for care. This made me very curious about the clinic – if people were driving here for care, then this must also be a great place to be employed. Growing up in Augusta, I love the small town atmosphere and wanted to be a part of that again. When I met Dr. Reddy, I knew it was going to be a good fit for me.  We had very similar work ethics and expectations of the quality of care we wanted to provide to patients.

What does Hutch Clinic do better than anyone else? Number one is the kindness that the staff provides to patients, as well as to each other. There are many things we do here to go above and beyond for our patients, like trying to accommodate multiple exams and tests on one day to prevent multiple trips for our patients. Also, taking into consideration the rural patients and trying to make things as easy as possible for them by utilizing outreach clinics.

First job? IGA Grocery Store as a teen, but started working as a Licensed Mental Health Tech at age 21 at St. Joseph Hospital, now Ascension.

First concert? Def Leppard (the 80s rocked)

First vacation? Kansas City Worlds of Fun of course

If you could live anywhere in the world (other than Hutchinson, of course), where would you live? Ouray, Colorado!

What hobby or hobbies are you pursuing? We got a camper last year when COVID hit, so we were fortunate to do lots of traveling on the weekends to different lakes.  I am trying to be a better fisherman.
