Hutch Clinic Cosmetic Services: Achieve the Look You Want!
Tell us about your background and when you joined Hutch Clinic.
I am actually a Hutchinson native! I joined Hutch Clinic six years ago, and I previously served in salons and spas. I’ve been a licensed esthetician for over 20 years. When Hutch was looking to hire an esthetician to serve in this role, I thought the opportunity would fit my experience perfectly and be a good next step in my career. Since joining, I have been able to build up our cosmetic services to expand offerings and products outside of laser hair removal and fillers. I’m proud to give our community something unique.
What led you to become an esthetician?
In my early 20s, I was working in a data center for banking services – which I really liked, but I did not feel fulfilled. I am such a people person and I just didn’t have that there. The cosmetics field was always my dream, so I put in my two-week notice and enrolled in cosmetology school. It was the perfect fit, and I have loved every minute of my career since!
What cosmetic services does Hutch Clinic offer?
One of the benefits of serving as an esthetician in a clinical setting like Hutch is that I have a much wider range of services to offer patients. We have medical-grade treatments that cannot be performed elsewhere, such as a regular salon. I’m able to provide my patients with SkinMedica and other prescription skincare treatments that are not widely seen in Hutchinson.
Our cosmetic services span a broad range of needs. We offer cosmetic tattooing – such as eyeliner or eyebrows, hair laser removal, IPL laser to help with sun damage and spots, chemical peels, body waxing, facials, microdermabrasion and microneedling. I also provide FREE consultations on makeup and skincare routines – it can be daunting to even know where to start. I can help. I work with patients to determine their needs and also provide guidance on makeup application and color matching.
Are there specific services you would like people to know about?
Microneedling is my most popular service – it is a great procedure for all skin concerns and types, from stretch marks to anti-aging and acne or general scars. Aside from a sunburn feeling and maybe some slight peeling, the service is hardly aggressive and requires little to no down time.
I also offer blue light treatment for acne patients and can prescribe the highest quality and strength of retinol for antiaging – it works wonders.
Why is skincare so important?
Not only does skincare address your body’s physical health needs, but it also addresses your mental health and your confidence. I love to help my patients feel better about the skin they are in and solve health concerns related to their skin – from head to toe.
A lot of individuals in our area have experienced sun damage. Every day, people are becoming more concerned about the health of their skin – which is a good thing. Sun and other damage can be reversed if you take the right steps. From addressing years of acne to assessing potential health concerns related to skin discoloration, paying attention is really important
What is your care philosophy?
I work with people who want to start caring about their skin. I want to be known as someone my patients can trust – I always take a relationship-building approach. This part of going to a doctor’s office should be enjoyable!
My patients can always feel confident and reassured that they are receiving cosmetic services in a medical facility and under a doctor’s supervision. I firmly believe that my job is NOT to push products on my patients. My goal is to take each patient’s case and assess their unique needs in order to map out a skincare plan that will work. I take very seriously my role to provide real results.
