Hutch Clinic participates in trial for diabetes drug that helps with weight loss
The Hutchinson Clinic participated in a clinical study earlier this year to test the effectiveness of a drug by Danish drugmaker, Novo Nordisk.
Ozempic is delivered through an injector pen once a week for patients with Type 2 Diabetes. The study tested for reduced blood sugar levels and weight loss. Ozempic has since been approved by the FDA.
Dr. Timothy Crater, Internal Medicine, was the physician for the Hutchinson Clinic study.
